History Of Chicago
A little history about Chicago is required if you want to make this part of your trip to Chicago more interesting. It is important to remember that the nickname “Chi-town” is not derived from any particular neighborhood in Chicago. Rather it is a moniker given to the entire Chicago area by former residents and out of nostalgia for the “old” Chicago. A boutique called “Chi-town” is a unique jewel in the crown of this rich Chicago neighborhood.
One more thing I want to mention about this Chicago tourist’s guide is that it actually includes information about the fascinating Chicago Gold Rush attractions located on the “Gold Coast,” which was the exclusive area of the city where millionaires went to live. Many of these attractions were built by some of the most notable Americans of their time such as Henry Ford…as well as former President Theodore Roosevelt. Of course, we can not forget about the Windy City by-way which was the first public mass transit system in the world. If you are looking for the most informative tourist’s guide to Chicago…this is it!
